Kodak Instant Picture Cameras

A listing of "all" the Kodak Instant Picture cameras, compiled by Peter Venema, sorted by body type. Several of these cameras are not mentioned in Brian Coe's book, "Kodak Cameras, The First Hundred Years", and Peter is at pains to point out that within these model types there are many variations, depending on which plant they were manufactured in and which marketplace they were destined for.

Well, there may be others - but I am not aware of them. PLEASE NOTE - In all my years of collecting, I have NEVER come across a package of the two LAST mentioned films, so I may ASSUME that not a lot of it was sold. Trimprint film differed from the earlier technology in that the print itself was detachable from the chemical pods, making for a more compact final result. Picture size was 67x91mm for all the films in the "standard" cameras, the Instagraphic slide film producing 23x35mm pictures which could presumably be mounted in a normal 2x2" slide mount.

Kodak flash units

Kodak flash units were made from 1976 to 1982, when they became more or less obsolete as many of the later model cameras had built-in flash units.

Kodak Instant Flash - Model A . Suitable for HANDLE type cameras.
(EK1, EK2, Please, Pleaser II, Pleaser Trimprint, Handle 2, EK 20, Happy Times)

Kodak Instant Flash - Model B. Suitable for EK6 type cameras.
    (EK4, EK6, EK100, EK200, Colorburst 100, Colorburst 200)

Kodak Instant Flash Unit - Model C. Suitable for Colorburst 50 type cameras.
(Champ, Kodamatic 920, Kodak 920 Trimprint, Partytime, Partytime II, Kodak FIESTA, Kodak EK 160)

Credits
After many years of collecting and research, I believe this to be a good record of Kodak Instant Camera products.

Thanks to Horst Geissler for his most valuable contributions.

Enquiries to the author : contact Peter Venema who would be only too happy to hear of any variations not listed here. As I'm reluctant to write eMail addresses on the website (it's just too easy for address harvesters and it's easy to get millions of SPAM eMails, but impossible to get rid of them), send your message for Peter to me and I'll forward it.
