Kodak Instamatic 804
This US made coupled-rangefinder auto-exposure camera is apparently made from one or two aluminium die-castings, weighing considerably more than it would appear from it's photo. A clockwork film advance mechanism is fitted, which is wound by pulling the unusual tape-like device in the base of the camera. Operator compensation for the selenium-cell exposure meter is provided by the little self-centreing wheel below the viewfinder. Flash is provided by flashcubes, with a warning appearing in the viewfinder in low light situations. Unusually, the knurled front ring on the lens is a supplied "Series V" retaining ring. With this unscrewed, any "Series V" accessory lens or filter can be fitted without further adaptors.| name | : Kodak Instamatic 804 | | produced between | : 1965 - 1970 | | lens | : Ektanar f/2.8 38mm | | shutter | : B, 1/60 - 1/250 | | film type | : 126 cartridge | | picture size | : 28 x 28 mm | | original list price (USD) | : 124.50 | | categories | : instamatic |
