Kodak Retina I (119)

The first Retina to be "officially" called a Retina I, to differentiate it from the Retina II (type 122) with rangefinder that was introduced in the same year. This particular camera is fitted with a Schneider Xenar lens in a Compur shutter, the depth-of-field calculator on the base being in German. Other than being all-black, "Modell I schwarz", with some leather covering on the top-plate, this model is almost identical to the Retina I (126), "Modell I verchromt", which was in concurrent production.
